We are Sue and David, and we have created this blog for our friends and family to follow us as we holiday in Australia and New Zealand.

Broadly speaking, our itinerary is as follows:
- Tuesday 22 September we start from Heathrow airport
- Thursday 24 September (4.20am) arrive in Cairns in North-East Australia
- 13 days in Tropical Queensland
- Tuesday 6 October (9pm) fly to Sydney
- 2 days in Sydney then fly to Christchurch in New Zealand, arriving about 1.00am on Friday 9 October
- 24 days in which we hope to cover about 5,000km to "do" both the South and the North islands
- Sunday 1st November fly out from Auckland to Hong Kong
- 3 nights in Hong Kong before catching the final flight home
- Wednesday 4 November (8pm) arrive back in Heathrow
We hope to update this blog as often as we can so that you can follow our travels and share in our experiences. But, we can't promise to have internet access all the time - especially not while in the outback!
