Saturday 24 October: Waterfalls and Hot Springs
It rained and rained and rained. And rained.
We were camped beside some waterfalls so we went to check them out. Okere falls, Hinemare steps and Tutea Cave and falls.
The Tutea falls are the tallest commercially rafted falls in the world (they're not super big - just wide enough to get a raft through).
Then we just drove North (it was still raining). We passed through Cambridge.
We passed through Auckland (slowly - so this is where all the people are!). We finally ended up at a campsite at Parakai springs hot pools - it was super busy since it was a bank holiday weekend and it was raining! Nothing else to do other than go to a hot swimming pool.Golden Nugget:
